The Commission Process

First Meeting: The artist will meet with the client to discuss the client's goals. Subject, size, medium and schedule will be discussed.

First Session: This is usually a study session, where reference or preliminary sketches or photographs are created.

In the Studio: The artist will review collected material and begin to develop a composition and color scheme to present to the client for consideration before proceeding. Once agreement is reached between client and artist and a schedule is established, the work will proceed.

Approval Meeting: When the art work is near completion, the artist will provide a progress photo, or meet and show the actual work to the client. Final adjustments will be made after this meeting.

Final Delivery: After the art work has final approval and has finished drying, the client may take possession. If the client wishes, the artist will assist with frame selection.
